We’ve found ourselves in a unique position during this COVID-19 pandemic.  At Fresh Harvest, our work is rooted in the mission of supporting local, organic farmers.  With many farmers markets and restaurants closing, we’ve found that now more than ever, Georgia’s farmers need our support.

That said, the health and safety of our employees and customers remains paramount to every decision we make. In an effort to maintain the highest level of vigilance, we’ve reinforced our safety measures which include additional hand-washing stations, enhanced cleaning procedures, and provision of both health training and preventive health resources for our team. We have a very stringent process of cleaning and disinfecting every surface of our reusable packaging based on recommendations by the CDC and USDA guidelines. All of our employees are required to wear masks and gloves when in the warehouse, or in a delivery truck. We’ve also set up the packing line so that employees can remain 6 ft apart. Additionally, Fresh Harvest provides paid sick days to ensure employees stay home when they are ill, and we’re encouraging those employees who are able to work from home to do so.

Regardless of this recent global threat, our model has always been one that centers around limiting produce touch-points to the harvesting farmer, a gloved packing team member and finally a gloved delivery driver.

We are continuing with deliveries until further notice, as we know that many of you are relying on us as your food supply while you practice social distancing.
